AMC's The Walking Dead

AMC's The Walking Dead is the hottest show being watched these days and with good reason.
Who doesn't like to see a group of people trying to survive in a world where those who live are trying to get what you have because they are not smart enough to have planned ahead and then you throw in a few zombie walkers who are trying to eat your flesh at all times. We can add this scenario of fight for survival in our everyday lives. But we are not here for that. With only a few weeks left in Season 5, I wanted to see what could happen next. So if you want to know more about the rumors please keep reading, If not please pick another page to read.

****Spoiler?****

Is Alexandria as safe as we are being shown.
We get to relax on our sofas while Rick and his group explore what could be their new home that is being run by once again a self appointed dictator. Remember The Governor. He was great at doing what he did best.
I have read rumor posts before season 5 started where everyone was saying that it was going to be Glenn that takes it to the head with a baseball bat just like in the comic book series. We even seen more of this when the group is at Noah's house where Glenn picks up the bat that is rumored to be the one that he gets killed by.
Now with the announcement of the extra 30 minutes added to the season family Daryl finds himself on the run being outside the walls. The anti-hero has been busy with his acting career and his schedule is tight with other projects. This may be a way out for his character to die off at the end or to be lost for a few episodes. As any fan knows Daryl is not a comic book character and there are millions of uses for him. There is no real replacement for someone to step in to this role. Carl is too young but would be perfect for the father son take down team that we seen in the woods at the abandoned house.
AMC did a lot of damage to fans when out of no where Beth takes a bullet to the head. Even the cast that dealt with it on screen had a difficult time. Beth was not the badass the Daryl is. Carol could do it but she is not a marketable character. Who wants to buy a Carol sweater? no me. But who wants to buy a black leather biker vest with wings on the back? line forms behind me.
Abraham will most likely be killed off by Daryl as now the three are not in such a hurry to make it to DC. Abraham has attitude that may get him killed. His temper is too much for him to handle.
Daryl is a fighter and in this world the tough survive and the weak are killed.

Each character has gone though so much and we have seen them change from being scared and not knowing where they stand with each other within the group to pretty much any one of them saying to the other "I got This" when a problem comes up. I would like to see each one of the stay alive and face more challenges personally and as a group.

I do have a question, Whats up with the bodies at the neighborhood of Noah's. I hope they jump back to that soon. It was an interesting twist on taking apart the top half and removing the arm. So who did it and why were they in the back of the truck?
Just like the other seasons, I'll be watching this one several times to keep my eyes open.

Not much information that has not been written elsewhere on the net.

AMC The Walking Dead

I just picked up a new set of The Walking Dead building set. This one is called The Governor's Room. It has great details in it. They have great looking floorboards. The furniture is nice and looks like it did in the episodes. Here are a few pictures of the set. The detail as you can see in the pictures are really good. The picture were taken with the iPhone 6Plus. The set cost me $32 with tax. There are single figures available in mystery packs on Amazon. the sets are also on Amazon but you may be able to find them at your local Toys R Us. They are not for sell at any other retailers unless it is at your local comic book store.Right now there are only 3 sets available that I can find. The last set that I have yet to by is the Daryl Dixon on his bike. That will be bought in a couple of days. I will add every set I get on this blog. I have also put on youtube a video of this set. Remember that these figures are only 2 inches tall. One thing with this set that I didn't know could do or did, is that the lights on the tanks come on from the bottom. you can see this better with the video.

AMC's The Walking Dead

Posting on December 30 While watching Episode 1 of the Walking Dead Marathon.

The hit TV show by AMC that started from a comic book created by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore (artist for 1-6) back in 2003 adding Charlie Adlard picking up from 7 to today. While the comic book struggled at sales at it's infancy. I for one am glad that they hung in there and kept going with their creations. I own several volumes of the hard covered books. As of right now I have 1-6 that I keep on my shelve. I am more of fan of the TV show so I try to stay behind the general story of the show and not read any of the books until the show has passed that area.
I have been a big follower of the show that I did start watching on the first run and I didn't start picking up watching the show after it was a smash hit. I have even traveled to a few of the locations before it had gotten to be the thing to do over the past couple of years. Here are a few from my Instagram that I had taken and posted back in 2012.

As I had said in a previous entry that I also attend Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. These next pictures are from their displays or recreations of the TV show. Their main theme was the walking dead that year and it was great. These were taken in 2013.

AMC's The Walking Dead

Merry Christmas to everyone.
I  want to start the day with a toy review. The toy is one of the building set from McFarlane Toys. It is one of the smaller building set featuring #RickGrimes with 4 Walking Dead zombies with one of them being #Merle Dixon. Each figure other than Rick comes dissembled. On the box it says that it recommended for people 10years and older. The body parts are small and they will come apart and could be swallowed so they should be kept out of reach of smaller children. I have included a few pictures of the figures. This is my first set of the series which includes the Governor's Room, Daryl with his Chopper, and a section of the prison. It was given to me as a gift and it is the start to add more sets to them. They are sold at Toys R Us stores and on-line. Do not over pay for these sets if you do not buy from Toys R Us. With this being a Walking Dead toy I would and will purchase all the sets that I can find before they become too many for me to get caught up on.

This is the front of the box.

Here is Rick aiming for the head.

The detail is real good on these figures with them being so small.
They are about 2in tall.

Merle is one I'm not sure if he has turned yet. But he is ready to start slashing.

He is dragging himself to you. Watch your throats.

Never mind Rick has your back.

He has your back but who has his?

Here is one of the better ones.

This is the back side of the box. The two set at the bottom and the top of the box is where everyone is within the prison that I will have to find to buy.
